High School Football

Travis graduated from ``The Kings Academy" (TKA) in Sunnyvale on May 30, 2009. He was very active in a wide variety of sports, but at TKA, his focus was primarily football, wrestling, and weight lifting.

Summary of accomplishments:

  • Graduated as the Footballs team MVP.
  • As a sophomore, placed 1st in CA in the Freshman/ Sophomore wrestling championship.
  • Spent 1 week each year building houses for the poor in Mexico.
  • Earned his Eagle Scout badge - the highest honor in Boy Scouts (he started as a "tiger cub".)
  • Benched 375 lbs

Football Awards and Recognitions:

  • Selected for 2008-2009 First Team Defense by the following newspapers and organizations:
  • Defensive Player of the year 2009 for Ocean ``A" Division
  • Overall MVP for The Kings Academy, 2008-2009 season.
  • Nike Combine - Eugene Camp - June, 2008 - Overall MVP and Defensive Line MVP
  • Selected as 2007-2008 Division 3 All-State First Team by MaxPreps (www.maxpreps.com)
  • Selected as 2007-2008 All-State underclass First Team by Cal-Hi Sports (See article in Palo Alto News)
  • Selected as the 2007-2008 Bay Football League (North Coast Section) Defensive MVP
  • Selected for 2007-2008 First Team Defense by the following newspapers:
  • Selected to the 2006-2007 Bay Football League 2nd team defense.
  • Selected as the 2005-2006 Bay Football League (North Coast Section) JV Defensive MVP
